![]() If you’re only happy when it rains, then you’ll probably adore True Storms.Ī collection of texture mods by the same author, Vivid Fallout is a set that will beautify the everyday surroundings of Fallout 4. True Storms, a weather mod for Fallout 4, can extend some of your virtual sightseeing hours by adding several new weather types, new visual effects and textures for rain and dust patterns, new thunder and lightening effects, and enhanced interior audio during storms. There are few things as enjoyable as aimlessly wandering an open world environment, and as far as those go, the series has some of the best. True Stormsįor a lot of people, the main appeal of the modern Fallout games lies with their freedom of exploration. It’s hard to believe how many games can be modded these days, and how high quality some of the mods are. In the days since I first installed mods in Fallout 3, the Nexus Forums have evolved into an absolute wonderland of new game content. So let’s take another look at what’s out there. My main goal for this though was to produce a quality model in the most efficient time, so the balance between quality and time had to be just right.It’s been years since I first wrote up this list of the best mods for Fallout 4, and much has changed in that time. Another thing I did was downscale the textures to 2k, from 4k. So things I did to achieve this is making sure not to go over the top on polygons because I could have easily made this highpoly but this would have been unnecessary for a NPC so I made tried to get the right balance between quality (retaining the shape of the ghoul) and optimisation so these can be used in big hordes of ghouls no problem on most systems. For this model I wanted to focus on some major things: optimisation, quality and file size, these are where important thing for me to do when starting this project since this is being used in a game engine I needed to the right balance of them. The ghouls from fallout 3 and New Vegas are something that i have been wanting to do for a very long time, recently i had the opportunity and took it. Today i finally get to share my work for the Capital Wasteland project with the world.
